T, great blog and spot-on marketing perspective. Dogs are also good judges of character. They can tell good people from bad people, which is hard for people to do sometimes. Cats on the other hand, are for dog toys, tennis rackets and fur collars. Have you ever heard of a 'guard cat', a drug-sniffing cat, a sheepcat or a cat pulling someone from a burning building? Cats don't look cool riding in the back of a pickup truck, either. Doesn't happen. Never will. Dogs rule.

Dave, you make some great points here and I agree. However, most companies are unable to accomplish numbers 3 and 5. Hiring the best people who perform well in their jobs, and then keeping them engaged (what you refer to as 'loyalty') is next to impossible with the younger, highly transient under 30 generation. It takes an entirely different mindset - coupled with new technology - to overcome this barrier to success. Check out my blog - 'Your People ARE Your Brand' - for some ideas. Keep up the good work.

Even though I like The Who, their scheduled Super Bowl appearance is enough to make me say, "Hope I die before I get old..."

Why don't they all just s-s-s-s-ell out???

Agree. I felt like Domino's was asking to go to my family and apologize for force-feeding cardboard to them for years, calling it dinner. Hey Domino's, it wasn't my fault I kept buying your pizza, you told me to. And now you are telling me that you pulled a fast one and I was the fool? I'm confused.

Ashton Kutcher certainly has done something right. He may not be the most famous celebrity, but he is dominating social media. And at 31, he helped create a very promising production company. We could all take a few tips on personal branding from Ashton. It will be interesting to see where he is in 10 years.
