Nissi’s
Nissi’s is a unique venue that faced unique PR challenges.
The Challenge
Nissi’s is a unique music venue, events space and bistro located in suburban Lafayette, Colorado. Before opening its doors five years ago, Nissi’s turned to The Creative Alliance to address its correspondingly unique PR and marketing challenges.
Those challenges included building a brand and a following that would be far easier to foster in an urban environment than in a secluded suburban enclave, and inspiring a sense of community among Nissi’s various audiences, which include patrons, musicians, event planners and the media.
PR Strategy
We developed an integrated PR, branding and marketing strategy to introduce Nissi’s to its audiences, including:
- Thoughtful message crafting to position Nissi’s as the perfect place to enjoy an evening out, featuring live music and gourmet tapas-style dining, all while getting home at a decent hour, every time
- An aggressive media relations campaign to introduce Nissi’s to targeted writers and editors in the regional media
- Ongoing stakeholder communications via a printed monthly newspaper/events guide, the Nissi’s website and outbound email marketing campaigns for different audiences
- A sponsorship program to connect local businesses and their patrons to Nissi’s (while generating additional revenue)
- Partnerships with non-profits to raise visibility and nurture a community feel-good factor
Results
Nissi’s has become a beloved brand in its community. The venue has been successfully positioned as an all-ages alternative to the more rowdy, late-night music scene. Nissi’s enjoys a database of 20,000 patrons, musicians and friends, a substantial percentage of whom are nothing short of “regulars.”
Frequent, high-quality coverage in the local media—including consistent inclusion in local events calendars—keeps Nissi’s visible and top-of-mind with existing and prospective patrons, musical acts and event planners. Bookings for private parties, weddings and other celebrations have grown steadily over time, with word-of-mouth, sponsor relationships and regular marketing communications creating a flywheel effect of positive momentum.
More than five years after initially partnering with The Creative Alliance for its launch, Nissi’s has again selected us to promote their new endeavor, the Parkside at Nissi’s, which features extended dining and expanded private events capabilities.
