A rare “Geek” with a penchant for delivering the science behind the art, Josh is proficient in custom database-driven application development including (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby on Rails, WordPress custom theme development and advanced WordPress functions (widgets, plug-in customization, etc.).
Extensive experience and a wide range of expertise enable Josh to find elegant solutions to even the most difficult web-related challenges. He thrives on learning new things and implementing new technologies. When others say something can’t be done, Josh is able to step in and find a solution.
Josh has developed many TCA client websites over the years, and is involved in virtually all of our web-related projects. He has led the way in transitioning to WordPress as a primary development platform, at the same time that WordPress has become the most widely-used Content Management System (CMS) on the planet. He has the ability to anticipate “what’s coming” and to help us and our clients prepare for future changes.
Always up-to-date with the newest web technologies and standards, Josh somehow manages to build on his best practices and standards-based development, along with excellent project management skills. Josh is definitely one of our most coveted assets.
When he’s not hacking together code, Josh is spending as much time as possible with his wife, Julie, and two young children, Becca and Zac. They enjoy hiking and backpacking, swimming, and riding bikes in the summer; during the winter months snowshoeing and watching movies together.
